Most men want to know how to initiate the first kiss. Before you kiss the girl you need to ensure that the girl wants to get romantic with you.
There are few tests you can use to find out if she wants to establish a romantic and sexual relationship with you. Before you go for the kiss:
Run your fingers through the hair of this girl and establish an eye contact.
Hold one of her hand or both of them and gently squeeze them.
Make an eye contact and slowly brush her arm.
Measure her responses to your moves. If she responds positively to two of those then you know she is ready to be kissed by you. Don't worry if she does not squeeze your hand back or doesn't brush your arm. She is ready to be kissed as long as she does not ask you to stop or walk away from you.
Once you have established that she is ready to be kissed.
Step slowly towards her or gently pull her close to you.
Establish eye contact.
Lean forward.
Kiss her on the lips.
It is better to start with a peck on her lips and follow it up with a long kiss if she does not object.
You do not have to pull back and return for the longer kiss. You can stay in the kiss position after the peck and go back for a longer kiss if she does not pull back. Though you can always pull back and return again for the kiss if that is what you prefer.
Once in a while the girl may be surprised that you kissed her or tried to kiss her. It is also possible that she may pull back when you try to kiss her. Don't assume she does not like you or don't want you to kiss her because she pulled back.
There could be many reasons why she pulled back. She might have pulled back because she was not expecting a kiss at that moment. May be you did not give her enough indicators to expect a kiss at that moment or maybe you tried to kiss in front of her friends and she felt a little uncomfortable.
This is why it is important to run the above three tests which I also call the "kiss test". It will reduce the chances of girl pulling back.
The girl will vocalize her objection or walk away from you if she did not want to be kissed by you. If she does neither of them she probably is looking forward to another kiss.
Test her comfort again by running the above three tests once more.
If the girl is still complying with the "kiss test" than you know she sees you as a romantic interest and you can go for the kiss again. You should have no problem getting a good kiss this time for she will be expecting it.
Here are few extra tips:
Have a good breath before you go for the kiss. Use some mint or breathe freshener few minutes before the kiss.
Don't start professing your love to the girl right after you kiss her. It is too early in the game.
It is always a good idea to shave before the kiss else you will scratch her face
Try to kiss her in private and not in front of 50 people when you kiss her for the first time.
Don't get upset if she rejects you. Don't try to convince her or argue with her.
You could make the kiss more romantic by holding her hands or face when you kiss her. You could also hold her on her waist or whisper in a girl's ears.
It is too obvious and boring to kiss at the end of the night. Be spontaneous by kissing her early in the night.
Act normal after you kiss her. Make sure not to make things awkward or go into silence so continue talking. Source
